What a FULL Day!

Today started early as Jason took Mom, Lonnie, and Matthew to the airport, and I hauled the rest of the crew over to Hoodland Lutheran to drop Alex and Lauren off for VBS. Olivia and I danced and played away the morning, which was good because the day really ramped up from there.

After we picked up Lauren and Alex from VBS, we went over to a friend's house to have a picnic lunch, jumped on the trampoline, swam in the pool, and generally had a great time. Jason chopped wood for the first time, making his hands super raw. Emily enjoyed napping in shade. However, I wasn't paying attention to the time and had to rush home to work.

Tonight the kids had a VBS skit and concert followed by an ice cream social. The whole family went and played. I really enjoyed meeting the pastor of the Lutheran church and his wife, who are celebrating 50 years of marriage this weekend! We also met the pastor of Next Church and his wife, and we look forward to getting to know them and their girls.

We have started to get a sense of the community of Christians that are here on the mountain, and we praise the Lord for the love and welcome that we've received!
